A Writer’s Dilemma – Difficulties encountered while writing Medical Research Papers

At the end of this course you are required to turn in a 3000-word Medical Research Paper on one of the topics covered this semester, which should be based on thorough research and free of plagiarism went on the Professor in the Introductory Class of the semester and I jotted down yet another assignment in to my Things-to- notebook. With three more similar assignments due at the end of the semester, I wondered just how I was going to manage the workload, submit all these assignments on time and pass all my courses. Moreover, I was totally clueless on what to write, where to get the information from and how to go about writing the papers.

Being medical students, a lot of us have encountered similar problems before. Medical Research Paper writing is viewed as a difficult task by most, but in reality, it’s quite simple and just requires the proper approach. The most commonly encountered difficulty while writing a medical research paper is the perplexity over what to write. Once given a topic, most students find it difficult to decipher what exactly are the requirements of that topic and are unsure over what aspects to cover. Once that difficulty is overcome, there arises the question of where to get the relevant information from and how reliable and pertinent the information gathered is. The answer to that question is to perform an effective and relevant literature search. This is the most important step of writing a Medical Research Paper and if performed properly, makes the subsequent steps easier. Proper structuring and organization of the information available is another common problem that writers face and this often culminates in poor grades despite having adequate and relevant knowledge about the subject, due to the inability to convey the pertinent information effectively. Moreover, most of us have busy schedules and time management becomes another significant issue. Overcoming all these issues might be difficult but is not impossible and once these issues are vanquished, writing Medical Research Papers becomes effortless and manageable.
